Owner & Head Trainer
Dennis was Born and raised in Fort Worth Texas where he played High School Football for O.D. Wyatt. As an outstanding athlete lettering he lettered in two sports, basketball and football. As a senior he earned the highest award given to the top football player the chaparral award along with defensive MVP. Earning a scholarship he took his talents to Texas A&M-Commerce where he started all four years. His junior year 2004, he lead the team in tackles with 96 and earned all-conference awards, and was also a team council leader and team captain.
After Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in health and human performance, Dennis played Arena Football for the DFW Texans where he also won a championship. Along with football Dennis trained in Tae- Kwon-Do with one of the world’s top instructors Ms. Joy Turberville, a Black Belt Grand Master who inspired him to become a certified kickboxing trainer as well. Dennis has worked as a trainer at LA Fitness, Title Boxing, Primal Fitness and Combine Fitness. In 2007 Dennis became a Licensed Massage Therapist and focused on sports massage to help athletes with muscle elasticity and recovery. After completing his internships at TCU and SMU he began to apply the knowledge he gained along with his diverse training and applied it to the training regimes of his clients to help them reach the goals they seek.
Lakedrick King is a native of Duncaville, TX who graduated from Duncanville high school. Coach King did his post secondary schooling at the University of Mississippi where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in theater arts. While obtaining his degree at Ole Miss Coach King played football under head Coach Hugh Freeze, where he lettered playing positions at cornerback and husky. Coach King credits his development as a hard worker and leader which helped him excel as a student athlete on and off the field to his playing time at Ole Miss.
Upon graduating from the University of Mississippi Coach King entered the world of fitness as an intern strength and conditioning coach at SMU & D-1 Dallas sports performance. The focus at those facilities was sports specific with speed and agility training as well as combine preparation. In 2018 Coach King joined the AZ family and is currently working towards becoming certified as a strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Coach Scotty is a graduate of the University of North Texas where he received a degree in Kinesiology. Scotty is a certified personal trainer and performance enhancement specialist through NASM. He also is certified as a USATF Level 1 Track and Field Coach and serves as both a track & field and football coach at a local high school in the Dallas area. Coach Scotty joined the AZ family in 2019 as a trainer, with the goal to motivate, educate and transform his clients; Coach Scotty values all client relationships and enjoys being part of his clients transformation.
Jalen was first introduced to fitness at the age of 12 by his father - always looking up to him admiring his strength and grit. Fitness has always been something deeply rooted within him starting as a healthy way to bond with his family and growing into what has become a way of life. After graduating from Northern Illinois University, Jalen continued his fitness journey alongside teaching full time. He moved to Dallas in the spring of 2019 and has been hitting the ground running ever since.
Jalen joined the AZ Family in the summer of 2020 and seeks to empower each and every athlete he coaches - always seeking to grow, challenge and inspire everyone he encounters. He hopes to be a major part in helping our members reach their fitness goals and enhance strength, endurance, cardiovascular health and overall fitness. Jalen teaches youth and adult strength and conditioning classes and is currently accepting youth and adult clients.
Hardworking, passionate and the ultimate competitor, Mallory joins the AZ coaching staff following a 4 year soccer career at Brown University. After graduating, Mallory began teaching and coaching soccer in south Dallas, and eventually grew her love of coaching into a skills soccer academy of her own. Furthermore since leaving her college career, Mallory has continued to value fitness at the forefront of her life, including boxing, strength training and conditioning training, with an emphasis on personal development - physically, mentally and emotionally. Mallory is currently taking youth and adult boxing clients, as well as strength and conditioning for both youth and adults.
Bonnie has always been passionate about health and wellness - from doing ‘P90X’ and ‘Insanity’ in her parents basement before school in high school, to playing college softball at Missouri University of Science and Technology, fitness and high performance has always been a big part of her life. She became a certified yoga instructor in early 2019 - being drawn to both the physical and mental benefits of the practice. After teaching yoga in the Dallas community, she had the opportunity to become a certified meditation instructor in the fall of 2019 - once again being drawn in because of the mental benefits and seeing so much of her life aligning and elevating around her.
While she brings our AZ Family a wealth of knowledge in the yoga and meditation space, she can also throw down in the gym with the best of them and is an ACE certified Personal Trainer. She also has her own health and wellness business hosting yoga retreats, wellness pop-ups and personal development coaching! She’s looking forward to seeing you in class soon and is taking on clients interested in yoga, meditation and personal coaching.
Coach Pat is a world renowned veteran boxing coach who has been coaching in the ring for almost 10 years certified in both amateur and professional boxing. Coach Pat has trained as a boxer and worked as an apprentice under Dallas legend Curtis Cokes. He has also trained with and worked alongside Jessie Robinson and Riddick Bowe in Miami at the Heavyweight Factory. After years being a part of both the amateur and pro boxing circuits, Coach Pat loves teaching the art of boxing to anyone looking to step up their regimen - either serious boxers who want to win or people training for the strength and conditioning benefits of the work.
Coach Pat joined the AZ Family in 2020 to help grow the boxing program at the gym. He is accepting personal boxing clients who are looking to compete or anyone who wants to elevate their fitness to the next level through boxing. He looks forward to seeing you in the ring soon.
Coach Hicks found his passion for training in 2015, he then became a certified trainer in overall fitness through the University of Texas at Arlington. Coach Hicks specializes in body transformation, movements, athletic training, youth movement and agility training. Once Coach Hicks started training it became his life, his free time is dedicated to training in the words of Hicks he is a trainer all day everyday.
Coach Hicks became part of the AZ family in 2020 with the goal of bettering the lives of his clients physically and mentally. He eventually would like to become a partner and have his own entity of the AZ franchise.
