Coach D
Owner & Head Trainer

Dennis was Born and raised in Fort Worth Texas where he played High School Football for O.D. Wyatt. As an outstanding athlete lettering he lettered in two sports, basketball and football. As a senior he earned the highest award given to the top football player the chaparral award along with defensive MVP. Earning a scholarship he took his talents to Texas A&M-Commerce where he started all four years. His junior year 2004, he lead the team in tackles with 96 and earned all-conference awards, and was also a team council leader and team captain.
After Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in health and human performance, Dennis played Arena Football for the DFW Texans where he also won a championship. Along with football Dennis trained in Tae- Kwon-Do with one of the world’s top instructors Ms. Joy Turberville, a Black Belt Grand Master who inspired him to become a certified kickboxing trainer as well. Dennis has worked as a trainer at LA Fitness, Title Boxing, Primal Fitness and Combine Fitness. In 2007 Dennis became a Licensed Massage Therapist and focused on sports massage to help athletes with muscle elasticity and recovery. After completing his internships at TCU and SMU he began to apply the knowledge he gained along with his diverse training and applied it to the training regimes of his clients to help them reach the goals they seek.
Coach King
Fitness Instructor

Lakedrick King is a native of Duncaville, TX who graduated from Duncanville high school. Coach King did his post secondary schooling at the University of Mississippi where he obtained his Bachelor's degree in theater arts. While obtaining his degree at Ole Miss Coach King played football under head Coach Hugh Freeze, where he lettered playing positions at cornerback and husky. Coach King credits his development as a hard worker and leader which helped him excel as a student athlete on and off the field to his playing time at Ole Miss.
Upon graduating from the University of Mississippi Coach King entered the world of fitness as an intern strength and conditioning coach at SMU & D-1 Dallas sports performance. The focus at those facilities was sports specific with speed and agility training as well as combine preparation. In 2018 Coach King joined the AZ family and is currently working towards becoming certified as a strength and conditioning specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Coach Scotty
Fitness Instructor

Coach Scotty is a graduate of the University of North Texas where he received a degree in Kinesiology. Scotty is a certified personal trainer and performance enhancement specialist through NASM. He also is certified as a USATF Level 1 Track and Field Coach and serves as both a track & field and football coach at a local high school in the Dallas area. Coach Scotty joined the AZ family in 2019 as a trainer, with the goal to motivate, educate and transform his clients; Coach Scotty values all client relationships and enjoys being part of his clients transformation.
Coach Bernie
Fitness Instructor

Coach Bernie graduated from Colorado State University in 2015 with a BS in Business with a concentration in Finance. She is a passionate Certified Personal Trainer through National Academy of Sport Medicine and has always been into high performance sports. She has coached boys and girls basketball starting with 2nd grade all the way to varsity. In 2020 she represented USA at the Hong Kong International Dragon Boat Festival. She’s also currently studying to become a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through National strength and Conditioning Association.
Bernie connects with her clients by understanding that life can be hectic and it’s often tough to find time to work out. (She’s been there herself, and she’s made every excuse.) Now, she uses her experiences to design programs that are manageable, enjoyable and proven to work. Bernie coaches our youth, optimal performance and competitive classes and is currently accepting clients.
Coach Pat
Boxing Coach

Coach Pat is a world renowned veteran boxing coach who has been coaching in the ring for almost 10 years certified in both amateur and professional boxing. Coach Pat has trained as a boxer and worked as an apprentice under Dallas legend Curtis Cokes. He has also trained with and worked alongside Jessie Robinson and Riddick Bowe in Miami at the Heavyweight Factory. After years being a part of both the amateur and pro boxing circuits, Coach Pat loves teaching the art of boxing to anyone looking to step up their regimen - either serious boxers who want to win or people training for the strength and conditioning benefits of the work.
Coach Pat joined the AZ Family in 2020 to help grow the boxing program at the gym. He is accepting personal boxing clients who are looking to compete or anyone who wants to elevate their fitness to the next level through boxing. He looks forward to seeing you in the ring soon.
